Hi! Welcome to the Hidden Histories Project.

The Indigenous Rights, Recognition and Perspectives Program team has worked hard in developing the programs for Bunjilaka, the Aboriginal Centre for Melbourne Museum. Part of our work is to tell the stories of the ordinary people in the community as well as the high flyers.

The idea behind this project is for you to plan, conduct, record and with permission, present oral histories about local people in their communities. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with each other and with expert Museum staff. Contact the Project Team.

The Department of Education and the Global Classroom project are happy to partner Museum Victoria in the Hidden Histories project. The Global Classroom Project aims to develop and promote models of networked student learning and teacher professional development. It endeavors to extend the learning experience beyond the traditional boundaries, physical locations, resources and timetables of school, and create new learning experiences which lead to heightened expectations of the learning process for both students and teachers.
